We helped cover Isaac’s emergency surgery
Just a month ago, our patient, Isaac (4), underwent emergency surgery, including plastic surgery, for bowel protrusion caused by a hernia 🩷 Thanks to the Call_Ludvik programme, we were able to cover the full cost of his surgery, hospital care, and medications. Thanks to our wonderful donors from Slovakia, Isaac received the urgent treatment he needed.
We also support organisations that stand by people in their communities
Humanitarian work also means recognising the important role of organisations that support people in their communities every day. Community organisations, charities, and local groups often know the people they serve personally, understand local needs, and are able to direct support where it is needed most. As part of this approach, we distributed one tonne of charcoal to members of the Rotary Club of Kampala North. Charcoal remains a common household energy source for many families in Uganda, and this contribution provided practical support to club members and their families.
