Our Programmes

Programming Principles

Seven universal principles guide the design and implementation of NAMBI FOUNDATION programming at the community, national, regional and international levels

Rights-based

NAMBI FOUNDATION’s approach is guided by the recognition that every person has the right to dignity, protection, health, education, safety and equal access to support.

Gender-responsive

NAMBI FOUNDATION works to reduce gender-related inequalities that affect women, girls, families and communities.

Partnership-driven

NAMBI FOUNDATION recognizes that sustainable change requires cooperation across institutions, communities, donors, civil society, schools, health facilities, cultural actors and international partners.

System-centred

NAMBI FOUNDATION works across systems to strengthen their capacity to deliver programmes, services and practical support for vulnerable individuals and families.

Context-specific

NAMBI FOUNDATION adapts its interventions, strategies and approaches to the realities of the communities in which it works. Context-specific programming is informed by local needs and available resources.

Evidence-informed

NAMBI FOUNDATION supports evidence-informed programmes, services and practices that protect, promote and support vulnerable individuals and communities.

Monitoring & Evaluation

We focus on long-term programs with measurable outcomes rather than isolated interventions. Monitoring and evaluation therefore form an important part of our work and help us assess whether our programs are reaching the people they are intended to support and achieving the expected results.

We monitor our programs from the initial assessment through implementation and follow-up. At the beginning, we establish the situation and needs of the individuals or communities involved and determine the most appropriate form of support. During implementation, we collect information on the progress of each program and maintain regular contact with our local partners and beneficiaries. Follow-up allows us to assess outcomes, identify changes over time and understand where additional support or adjustments may be necessary. The information collected through this process helps us evaluate results across our programs and improve the way we plan and deliver future interventions.

Monitoring and evaluation are not limited to measuring results. They also provide an opportunity to remain in direct contact with the people and communities involved in our programs, understand their experience and identify needs that may emerge over time. The information and feedback we receive are incorporated into our planning, allowing us to strengthen our programs, improve implementation and increase the effectiveness of the support we provide.
